Udenco founder and owner Rob van den Acker had already set up several companies when he noticed that you always have either too few or too many people and machines and often have to run a high financial risk. After all, the market is constantly rising and falling. On top of that, the cost price of a product is largely determined by the materials. This insight led him to start working as a contract manufacturer in 2004, using his own sourcing and materials: Udenco was born.
We believe that we can make purchasing and production more efficient and cheaper for every customer. Quality assurance is a prerequisite for this. Our focus is on sustainable products. Udenco has years of experience and a rock-solid network. In Asia and Central Europe in particular, we have been collaborating with partners and carefully selected subcontractors for many years. We excel at managing virtual production chains in networks. Alongside re-engineering existing technology, this is our core business.
Our team
The structure of the organisation is lean & mean. We do not have our own fleet of machines. We know from experience that they put a disproportionate burden on overhead costs, making it necessary to specialise. That would work against our pursuit of flexibility. We do have our own assembly plants. In Slovakia and China, mechatronics engineers work on re-engineering and assembling your products. The management of Udenco consists of a dynamic team of experts in a variety of fields who assist our customers with great passion, commitment and competence.
